While college plays an important part in the life of the local community, we recognise that successful local industries and businesses are crucial for its economic well being and the employment opportunities available for young people. We are fortunate, therefore, to enjoy excellent relationships with many local employers.

The success of the Work Experience programme demonstrates clearly the strength of this relationship and we are grateful to those employers who have provided students with worthwhile and rewarding placements. Moreover, representatives from major local employers are frequent visitors to college, describing training and career prospects to our older students.

As part of our successful bid to aquire Technology College Status we had to raise pledges of £100,000 of sponsorship. We are proud to have achieved this and especially delighted that so many local companies have such faith in the future of our college.
