Introduction to Night Classes
Southfield Technology College Open Learning Centre offers free access to a range of software, the Internet and supported self study courses in word processing, spreadsheets and databases.

The centre is open from 6.00pm to 8.00pm, Monday to Thursday during school term time starting on the 12th September.
This is useful for clients who want acess to PCs for a limited period of time, or on an irregular basis, for example to prepare job applications.


Digital Photography
This course runs on a Monday night.
Times: 6.00pm to 8.00pm.

5 weeks, followed by Using Photoshop for 10 weeks. This course will be run twice during the year.
Tutor: Mr A Nicholls.
Clients completing the course will recieve a STC certificate. Free tuition.


Beginners Computing
This course runs on a Tuesday night.
Time: 6.00pm and 8.00pm. This is an introductory course for those with little or no experience of using PCs. The course lasts 5 weeks and is repeated throughout the year. The course is a good foundation for Clait courses offered by the Adult Education Service.
Tutor: Mr A Nicholls.
The course leads to an OCR level 1 certificate. Free Tuition.

New CLAIT (Wednesday)
This course runs on a Wednesday night.
Time: 6.00pm and 8.00pm.
This covers word processing, spreadsheets, databases and graphics.
Tutor: Mr A Nicholls.
The course leads to an OCR level 1 certificate. Free tuition. A charge of £5 will be made for the examinations.
New CLAIT (Thursday)
This course runs on a Thursday night.
Time: 6.00pm and 8.00pm.
This covers word processing, spreadsheets, databases and graphics.

The course leads to an OCR level 1 certificate. Free tuition. A charge of £5 will be made for the examinations.
